My story

Owning and operating my own building company is something I have always wanted to do.

I enjoy communicating with clients from the planning phase through to project completion. I deliver high quality services and a great end product you can be proud of.

I take pride in holding myself to the highest standards, leading by example, and treating every home as if it were my own. I do the job once and do it right.

As the owner and director of the company, you’ll deal directly with me from the initial consultation through to project completion. As a Licensed Building Practitioner and a member of the New Zealand Certified Builders Association, I deliver honest advice, quality workmanship, and a building experience you can trust.

My journey into construction

I’ve always been a hands-on person who enjoys working outdoors. Although I was encouraged to pursue a university education rather than a trade, I completed a degree in Criminology and Psychology at the University of Auckland before discovering where my real passion lay.

Before heading overseas to travel, I worked as a labourer on a construction site in Auckland. It was there that I realised building was the career I genuinely wanted to pursue. After returning to New Zealand, I began my carpentry apprenticeship on a commercial high-rise project in Auckland’s CBD. Six months later, I returned home to the Bay of Islands, where I continued my apprenticeship across a wide range of residential and small commercial projects.

When my previous employer decided to close his business and pursue a different career path I felt that given my experience and passion for the industry it was the right time to start my own building company. Owning and operating my own building company has always been something I wanted to do. I enjoy communicating with clients from the planning phase through to project completion and being able to deliver a high quality service and product for them.

I’ve built experience in new homes, renovations, extensions, decks, retaining walls, and everything in between. Whether it’s replacing an interior door or managing a full new build, I approach every project with the same commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
